I once heard a story about a cruise ship that was traveling in
the midst of a storm. In this extremely chaotic scene, a young girl was pushed
overboard. All sudden an 80 year old man jumped into the sea and rescued the
young girl. When they reached shore safely, a banquette was thrown in honor of
the man who was a hero. He gave the last remarks of the evening and said, “I
just wanna know one thing. Who pushed me?”
It’s truly amazing how we will stay where we are and go to
where we could be until we are “pushed”. I am intimidated by the class and the
format. But I have been “pushed” and I will make the most out of this experience.
I am a social network dude. I Tweet and Face book all the time but juxtaposing that
with academic studies threw me off. Now I’m here and ready to swim in deep water
